The following poems are from a collection I wrote in 2005 titled Into the Raw: the Voice of Margaret Rose.
Into The Raw I prepare my mind shelter my body to welcome my past blunt, bare and bold as I bravely tread Into The Raw where Truth thrives and peace lives blind eyes see hushed lips speak to reveal the nakedness of candid reality where warmth and harsh exist in harmony freedom is won spirit is found when I step Into The Raw wide awake without fear Near Isle Madame a punished mother hangs, bound, silent upside-down bare fleshed in an abandoned red fish barn wondering… willibehomeintimetofeedthechildren willibehomeintimetofeedthechildren willibehomeintimetofeedthechildren… Untitled A tired voice once whispered Into my unthinking ear Come over here Child What are you waiting for? The fog of disillusion Fills an empty spirit Only to be burned away By prudence and truth Come over here Child What are you waiting for? The Silent Divide In your mind the silent divide delicately separates thoughts of chatter from genuine feel into an invisible world where sweet bliss is real an absolute fullness of emptiness so pure where out of nothingness all creation is born. In your mind the silent divide of timeless moments gives an unspoken relief into a silky silence of deep quiet and private peace a soft extended exhale into clear stillness and calm of pastel tranquility for the mind, body, soul. In your mind the silent divide is the forgotten empty pause in between our heavy words, is the soundless note unheard in a tune, is the noiseless gap midst our demanding thoughts, is the deep hushed stillness under all life and breath. This is where we all must be, in the beautiful silent divide, after all, all that exists in your head is merely a dark moist quiet mind.
